closer to Don't Starve style this time xD

it was a funny adventure since I made that drawing inside a moving train xD
painted the stuff later on Gimp~
maybe the painting can look a lil messy...
that was my first atempt at digital painting, with the lineart coming from paper!
so quickly there is the sensation that the painting don't match the traditional sketch or lineart...
not easy to make it work correctly xD
anyways~

Wilson was getting fed up with Rook being better than him at nearly everything that mattered, so he struck a deal with Maxwell to get the power to get rid of him- which failed, of course, leaving Wilson as Maxwell's killing machine for a while. He then took the Throne and is now hunting for Rook in revenge.

actually what made me fall in love with don't starve
was when I decided to search the background story
I saw all those lil animations, puzzles and promotional videos
and Wilson is so expressive and full of character,
I felt imediatly the need to draw his face xD

my fav char, is Webber, I love that lil buddy,

Webber is really awesome, I agree, but every time I play him I can't find spiders ANYWHERE. If we don't think about the game itself but only on character personality and stuff like that, there's a tie between Webber and WX-78.

well actually I'm always lucky when I play with webber xD
the first time I played with him, on DST,
I found a biome full of spider's nest xD
right under was living a Dragonfly, I had to be carefull,
at winter a Deerclops appeared destroying my camp at night
it was horrible
I had no material to build a fire or a torch and the only light I had
was the Termal stone! xD
but I survived!!
I stood close to my destroyed camp to get all the moster meat, spider grands and silk
I tried to lure the dragonfly to deerclops, didn't worked
in between the spring came
deerclops disapeared
I decided to go back at the main base camp where my friends were living
and found in the way a goose :I
I was the giant finder.... who survives everything

I ment that they both are my fave characters if you're not considering their gameplay.
Though some theories say that WX-78 used to be human, and after dying Maxwell offered him to return to the world as either a robot or a humanoid spider (like webber) and he chose robot, while webber was offered the same deal and he chose spider.
Just one of the theories I've seen. I don't like it much...

so I think the fact he is fused with a spider may have something to do with it

I don't like it either. As far as I know Webber was eaten by the spider and simply grew up inside of it...
I don't know about alchemy engine and stuff...
Also when lightning hits him you can see his skeleton. One of my theories about him are that he was built ON a human skeleton as a basis, and that his "soul" is his broken empathy module. It IS there, because the empathy module is broken, not non-existent. He does show love to other machines, even if not to living creatures, which means that he does have some kind of emotions. Then again, klei originally said there won't be any multiplayer, and changed their mind, maybe they simply had to give him a ghost so it would be fair to players who like playing as him.

as he also sais that his father used a tophat
and that he watched his father shave too
so, people jump on conclusions that Wilson is his father xD

I agree, I'm probably counting on too little to suddenly call him a pyromaniac, but it does make me curious, because the sentence is just so... mysterious. "IT REMINDS ME OF SOMETHING"... There has to be more behind it!

Another idea I saw once on the internet is that on the insides he's built to look exactly like human biology, like instead of a stomach he has chemicals which do exactly the same thing, which would explain why he needs to eat... This one is rather interesting if people want to write crossovers.
