Hey everybody!The website has been updated!

The website has been updated. It is therfore the end of my induvidual study for tihs project. I'll probably work on it later in July when I have summer vacation.Β
The most important features are as follows:
1. You can edit a story that you have just written if images do not work or if there are grammatical errors. Removal of a part is not possible to prevent trolls.
2. You can see the information about the statistics of the story per story, you can also see if recent pieces have been written.
3. There is an additional story beginning where you can write too (spoilers, its the Great Shift)
It can happen that the website won't look properly, to fix this, you have to clear the cache on your browser.

Update 9-6-2019
I've heard complaints that certain images weren't showing.
I've fixed that, the image now wont show if it cant be loaded inside the image file instead of looking for the "png" "jpeg" and "gif" in the image url.
Sorry for the trouble.

Yeah, I figured there'd be more problems sooner or later. This kind of thing is a flawed, albeit fun, concept.
So after the previous error, it looks like to avoid something like that in the future you've created a different problem, as it's now causing a processing error. The site still runs, but it's slowing to a crawl. Maybe it's better where you're based so you don't notice it, but it is starting to happen.
Also, there seems to be some kind of problem with your second story option. I haven't done much database stuff in a while and I'm not wholly familiar with MySQL, but the problem seems to be that the head of the branch is actually the Genie caption, which doesn't have an option for the alternate story. Depending on how you've set up the site, this may actually be an easy fix, but again, the speed of the site is going to get worse and worse the longer this goes on.
There is a solution which might be preferable to completely stopping the website, and that would be to have an alternate host of the story now that it has a bunch of branches, give endings to whichever paths don't have branches and cut it off there. There's probably a few things in there that might need to be cut out, as you don't have a way of moderating what's going on, but you can save a copy of this project somewhere else that can be enjoyed long after everything breaks down horribly.

I use a free hosting and free mysql databse server. The website can take max 500 rpm, so that causes the slow loading time or even failing to load at all.
I didn't expect it to be so big. I dlnt know if I move it to a different hosting website as it costs money. But I'll see.
The database is right now devided in two tables:
stroyinfo: where the information of the story is dispalyed and on what part it begins from the other table: "storyparts"
storyparts: all the parts where all the info a part needs.Β
So all the parts of the two stories are storred in one table. I thought that would cause a overflow of max rows. But databse tables can store so much data, that it doesnt cause a problem. Maybe loading time can be a problem, but only if I have up to a million entries and right now it is arround the 1000.
The moderating problem is one that doesnt have an easy fix. I was thinking of a sort of an user account system for the website, but it isnt that simple I think.
Locking it story down after some time can be a solution, but I have to test it.

Getting around a paid site is the big issue there then.
I mean, you *could* always cut it off, make an alternate UI that can be hosted on DA as a browser game or something. Should take a bit of work, so if you plan to have multiple stories, I suggest making it flexible enough that you can swap out the database it draws from to save yourself that work in the future.
Bottom line; the bigger this gets, the less usable it gets. You cut the project off once it gets noticeably too slow, you polish it up a bit, you publish it to DA each time.
