In my opinion, captions should be short and to the point. If they're too long, they're not captions, they're a story with an illustration.

It's like a warning to someone, "You can't even let my hair grow, or else something really bad will happen,"

That's true, I'm just saying that given the right context, it would be proper grammar. Compared to that story where a girl hid behind a "douche cabin" in the bathroom, this is nothing.
