LINK TO PROLOGUE: [link]
This is Part 7.1, because I had 3 different "Plot Points" I wanted to cover, but no single one felt like it warranted it's own chapter, so they're all part of 1 MEGA CHAPTER!!! THE EPIC CONCLUSION!!!!
OF THE SAM VS ARCEE EPISODE 1! *HAAAAAH*
This chapter was really cheap for me. It's really more filler than anything else; an official intro to Ms. Flareup. I know I already explained most of this on her "Promo-Shot" [link] that I did, but I felt like it should still be part of the "plot" or else it would just confuse everyone.
Maybe.
So back to cheapness- Those first three panels are the same panel duplicated multiple times to keep the budget down, LOL.
Also, I realize that the punchline isn't that "Punchy" but you can't always be sidesplitting, so you sometimes just need to acknowledge your limits and go for "Just Fun".
A quick note on the art...
I think that little pic of ARCEE in the background on panel 4 is one of the best pics of her I've ever done. I don't know why, I just really, really like it and I feel that it captures her mood and character really well.
The song that Flareup is singing I stole from the English dub of Azumanga Daioh; it was sung by Chiyo (The character I sort of base my version of Flareup on) in the first episode. The complete english lyrics are:
Cooking is so fun!
Cooking is so fun!
Now it's time to take a break
and see what we have done!... (Yay! It's Ready!)
Transformers is © Hasbro Inc
Words to the cooking song are © ADV films, I suppose...
All words and art by me.

Now I'm thinking of that little tune Chiyo sung from Azumanga Daioh.

Thanks! I try very hard to make faces as expressive as possible; it's good to know that it pays off!

I just love the fourth panel; Flareup's expression is too sweet to resist.

Heh, I couldn't think of many other appropriate facial responses to meeting a robot that cooks and sings like an 11-year old.

I agree what Arcee'd said:Flare up was such a genius. I just wondering how the Ramen taste.

Hmmm... now I wonder, too... I imagine pretty good, because she probably has some kind of algorithm that measures what the precise amounts of any given ingredient ought to be.
The tragedy though is that she may never be able to actually TASTE them...
Unless Wheeljack shows up and makes some crazy invention...

Awesomeness. And using the same panels over and over, pretty soon youll be lazy like me and do all the stuff that way . Seriously just draw everything once and then paste it together.
By the way, what program do you use to make the comic so big, yet not get all blurry and stuff when you save it. Please tell me its free.
My Raising Hell stuff looks great when its done in Flexer but when i save it to the com it becomes real blurry and its annoying the shit outta me.

LOL! No, no, no... it's not called "Laziness"... it's "efficiency"!
In regards to why my comic panels are so HUGE my friend Jesse told me it has something to do with my scanner scanning at some really high resolution, or something (I actually have to REDUCE the size of my scans!)... I don't know much about scanners.
However... in terms of image manipulation Software, lately I've been using "Photo Shop Elements" which came with my tablet; but before that I used GIMP.
GIMP is like... a somewhat less intuitive photoshop, but for a completely FREE program it does it's job REALLY WELL, IE: the only reason I use photoshop is because it A)it runs better with my tablet and B)the interface looks cooler.
The only complaints I can level at GIMP is that they don't have a very explanatory instruction manual; or at least I didn't get it.
However, in it's defense it can compress Jpegs really tiny if you turn the quality down when saving.
That said if you do want to get it, I know most of the basic tricks for it, so You can always note me or something if you need a tip. [link]

i HAVE Gimp and the only thing I can do with it is basic things like cropping and the like. Ive tried desperately to understand layers with Gimp only to fail miserably (which is why I use Fotoflexer).
I have a scanner and it works wonderfully but I only scan my images once, then re-use them over and over in the panels (re-sizing them as needed).

Hmmm... gimp SHOULD be able to resize Stuff... and though I never "mastered" gimp's layering techniques, I feel like I got pretty decent at it. (You have the up-to-date version, right?) I could still try to explain to you how to do some of that stuff, so long as you want me to, and assuming you wouldn't think me a jerk for "pressing the issue" on that particular program. I just really liked it a lot before I got my Photoshop.

Maybe, i wanna try a couple of different things in Flexer, as Ive really gotten the hang of putting things together in there first. Im about to upload a new one and the resolution looks perfect after saving it to my computer. Not blurry at all. Lets see what it looks like when I upload it to DA...

You could also be Jazz.
"What's so bad about being jazz?"
He's dead
"ooh..."
I almost said it's better than being the "Twins" but they're SOOO easy to beat... I think being a rock would beat out being the twins. Better to be inanimate than alive and utterly stupid and not be able to realize it.

yeah, there's something almost endearing about the way skids looks; Mudflap just looks like a butt. That's why I call him "Buttflap".

Its not really the looks, more or less its the fact that Skids has SOME redeeming qualities within his personality, while Mudflap has none.

Sorry, I wasn't aware they had personalities; I just thought they acted stupid and offended people...
Just kidding, just kidding!
I guess I never really got a sense for their personalities in the movie, and I haven't really branched out into any of the extended content to see how they're portrayed there.
