I hope you people don't get too tired of my pencil drawings ^-^" You know, I really like to work with pencils at the moment.. so, here's another picture, trying to get some more practice with it.I always wanted to make a gift art for the wonderful *Rotarr .
It's been a way too long time since I promised it

I never seriously tried to draw a wyvern before actually o.O"

Also ich kann nur sagen mach nur so weiter mit deinen Bleistift Zeichnungen, denn das Ergebnis spricht für sich !
Besonders gut gefällt mir der detailgrad am Kopf und die schönen Schattierungen und wo du gerade von „gifts“ redest, ich muß endlich mal sehen das ich deines das ich mal angesprochen habe auch fertig bekomme ^^
Auf jeden fall finde ich deine Bilder insgesamt einfach super !

Ne, wahrscheinlich krieg es keine Farbe.. aber ich plane durchaus demnächst mal wieder was farbiges mit Photoshop zu machen x3

Interesting... its a bit different than the classic dragons, right?
There's something with the wings that looks strange... somehow it appears that one is "flipped". you know, the points where the fingers connect to the wing seem to be different on each wing
Guess its nothing simple as now I tried to imagine it and also had problems
Apart from that its another pencil rendition of good quality - nicely contrasty to the white paper! Lighting and shading looks pretty well too, good work!

Yeah.. several people mentioned that so far.. buuut I guess the reason why it looks a bit odd is that the anatomy of the character IS a bit strange after all. There's an extra wing arm, placed not at the shoulder but over the hindlegs~ here's the charsheet [link] But honestly: I'm not sure about it anyway. Tried to make it look more or less "correct" but it's always a bit tricky with wyverns
Ah yeah, you got another point there.. afterwards I noticed that I should have paid more attention to the "conection point" at the wing hand.

Ah, now I see. It was almost invisible but *now* I see it! 
Connection points. Those and the entire wing are pretty difficult for one's 3D thinking - they are mostly flat, but bent under angles and they still have to look 3D. There's no big mass to ease it

Yeah.. wings really can be a pain in the ass (especially when it comes to texturing them) xD But still - I like drawing them from time to time!

Well, wings... only reason I dont draw them is cause they dont fit into a tank XD (reverse genetics?)
It is a more 'action' one. But you have to try those in order to improve, so thumbs up!

Ach die Flughäute sehen schön aus, richtig weich und die fallen auch so schön. Nur links gibt's ein paar Falten die ich nicht so recht nachvollziehen kann. Vom innersten Flügelfinger gehen da so zwei Linien Richtung Körper... wie war das denn gedacht? ^^' Aber rechts ist'st eine tolle Mischung aus hängen und spannen. Hmm... ist da ein Finger rechts zuviel oder links einer zu wenig? XD
Das Füßlein, welches da unter dem Flügel herauslukt gefällt mir auch, mit den gespreizten Zehen siehts mehr aus als würde da tatsächlich Körpergewicht drauf liegen.
Aber gesamt finde ich die Pose noch ein wenig unflüssig. Ich find' das auch immer irgendwie richtig fieß bei so einem flügellaufendem Wyverntier 'n Körperschwerpunkt zu finden. Es wäre ja sehr schick, wenn man sehen könnte, das sich der Körper wirklich auch auf diese Flügel/Beine vorne stützt. Aber so ganz klappts hier auch noch nicht. ^^ Ist mir auch noch nie gelungen, aber erst 2 mal versucht. Hier scheint der eher zu hocken, aber die Flügel scheinen doch irgendwie zu stützen und weil man auch den Hinterbeinsansatz nicht sehen kann... schwere Sache das. Bin ich verwirrend? XD

Jah, links gefällt mir so im Nachhinein auch nicht.. hab schon während des Zeichnens bemerkt. Ich hab immer so ein wenig das Problem, dass ich beim Zeichnen so verdammt viel ausprobiere, dass die eine Schwinge am Ende anders aussieht als die andere. xD Die linke vom Betrachter aus ist auch etwas dunkler geraten als die rechte, wenn man genau hinsieht. Also diese beiden Linien da.. frag mich was einfacheres, ich bereue sie jedenfalls xD
Ich verweis da mal auf Rotarr's Charsheet.. dieser extra Flügelarm über den Hinterbeinen hat mir einiges an Kopfzerbrechen bereitet xD [link]
Ha! Genau das wollte ich, ich hab nämlich das Gefühl, dass meine Drachen oft etwas "schwebend" ausseh'n ^.^"
