Description

Tree folk are the saplings of the tree of life. They are thus greatly in tune with the spirit world and adept at fortune telling and magic. If the treefolk remain rooted in one place long enough they cannot uproot to walk, so they created the dryads to protect them and their orchards. Dryads resemble humans with bark for skin and moss for hair.

Basilisks (also called a cockatrice) are large reptilian birds that resemble chickens with clawed wings and raptor like feet. A basilisks are scavengers that feed on carrion, the basilisk intentionally harbours septic bacteria to help bring down prey (like a komodo dragon). The fetid breath of a Basilisk is also equally deadly, if inhaled it can inflict horrible illness and even death.
