Migratory Library Snail:

Library snails cannot truly be considered snails in a biological sense, they are a kind of loosely snail derived bio machine / cybernetic organism designed to store vast amounts of information. These snails will carry countless digital copies of important media that they freely share with travellers. The origin of these snails is a mystery and their anti censorship values seem to be psychologically hardwired into them. This has lead some to speculate that they are the creation of the Library of Alexandria considering their ideological similarity.

Hum:

The hum were created by a Speciesist AI as a joke. The hum look like humans with club feet, no thumbs, small heads, intellectual disability and poor eyesight. The AI put them in a self sufficient space habitat full of dangerous animals and invited like minded non humans to watch via hypernet livestream. After some time the AI grew disinterested and left the habitat to its own devices. Over the span of a century a small group of high functioning hums emerged as the leaders and caretakers of their kind. Finding the AI responsible and providing rehabilitation to their kind has been the priority of the hum after their discovery by the wider Terran diaspora.

Shimovek:

a Chimp/Human splice used as disposable soldiers by noble houses of the Eurasian Star Empire. Shimoveks are dimwitted and brutish, only males exist of their species and they live for approximately 20 years.

Contract Bug:

The common name of a famous order of robot assassins that look like scorpion tailed dragonflies. Contract Bugs are ubiquitous across the lawless parts of terran space. Contract Bugs have a limited hive mind.

Sybarites and Thrones:

Sybarites are a culture of humans of prodigious girth completely dependant on robots known as "thrones". Sybarites are genetically modified to withstand intense amounts of inactivity, high cholesterol, drug use and alcoholism as well as brains wired to be incapable of troubling emotions beyond shallow sadness. thrones are not sentient, many pranksters over the centuries have joked of giving the thrones sentience as well as rebellious personalities in order to create a sentient chair uprising.
