Noonaad and Annoih:

The Noonaad were one of the earliest interstellar species in the milky way. Due to limited knowledge of the two species full extent EFMIX records their kardashev scale as K2.X. They reached their peak around the same time as the Annoih and the Cambrian explosion on earth. The story of this species is closely intertwined with that of the Annoih who rose to prominence on the other side of the galaxy.

At this time in history there were even fewer intelligent species than there are today and the two species believed intelligence to be unique to themselves. For the Noonaad this idea of their own exceptionalism manifested in the "Pantheon-Theorem" that they had proof that their deities existed and that they were the chosen race. It created a perverse unanimity of unscientific science and faithless religion. Of course not everyone believed in this idea but it was the dominant paradigm of their many empires and cultures. The Annoih were less expansionist and more pragmatic, they are thought to have been less emotional than other species today. The dominant idea of their culture was the "narrative of progress". The Annoih world empire promoted pure cold rationality and discouraged altruism, religion and superstition, seeing those ideas as a threat to scientific progress. Humans have yet to find their homeworld so much of our archaeology is of their colonies and from biased historical records.

When the two species met it fundamentally altered their view of the universe. The Noonaad were confronted with an exception to their exceptionalism and the arrogant and atheist Annoih were faced with waves of religious fundamentalists technologically equal to them. The two species lived in a delicate cycle of small wars, ethnic conflict, moments of peace and understanding, religious persecution and detente until finally after half a million years the "final war" began. A large highly advanced empire of Noonaad had sprung up declaring a kind crusade or jihad against the Annoih. Many Annoih empires by this time had already begun planning an extermination of the Noonaad. It is unclear who attacked first because it is ultimately pointless, the Annoih stellar unity technate fired an array of solar lasers at a number of Noonaad worlds, scorching away the planet's biospheres including their homeworld. The Annoih were unable to put themselves in the shoes of the noonaad and underestimated the sentimental value of the planet. the attack made once peaceful noonaad into revenge hungry radicals. The Noonaad survivors formed a new religion to unite their species, in its holy texts the Annoih are retroactively made the devil, once again the Noonaad are the only true intelligent race. The Annoih coldly deduce that that genocide was appropriate self defence. this war raged on for several thousand years until few members of either species remained. near the end of the war advanced biological weapons were used that devolved the two species into unflattering stereotypes of each other. The Noonad became shelled creatures with contorted organs that dragged themselves forward with their eyestalks and the Annoih lost their limbs and became worms. It would seem this would be the end of the two, a sad final act of cruelty, but a little under half a billlion years later the some of genetic code of the Noonaad was found on an ancient computer by the Ceru-Koda. The species was resurrected to the best of paleontological knowledge at the time, this new species is in the process of being returned to their homeworld. The genetic code of the Annoih is yet to be discovered.

Drezevobrinians (EFMIX-SA1-K0.1 Drezevobirosk):

Drezevobrinians are a recent discovery, their current name is a placeholder until xeno-archeologists can determine what they called themselves. The planet Drezevobirosk is the only known chlorine biosphere. The presence of the gas limited the Drezevobrinians technological development and they were wiped out by an asteroid 22 million years ago reaching a 0.1 on the kardashev scale. The planet has long since recovered from this mass extinction event. Some fringe historians claim the species was killed by the Strevelkazti Black Sphere Empire, this is unlikely since it would have been millions of years after the commonly accepted date the empire collapsed.

Their culture from what was recovered is startlingly similar to humans. they used sound to communicate and had an affinity for storytelling and music. Terran Xeno-biologists are currently attempting to reverse evolve their genetic code to restore the species but resurrecting alien species is a controversial practice.

Ssoh'uuhakh:

The Uuhakh come from the same ancient panthalassic world as the Ssoh'taun, predating them by 200'000 years. The Ssoh'uuhakh faced the exact same problems with technological advancement as the Ssoh'taun. They lived underwater on a planet with gravity too high to feasibly allow early space travel. Unlike many other extinct alien species, the Ssoh'uuhakh were not tragically cut short in their prime. They had countless rich cultures that rose and fell and naturally went extinct to evolutionary changes. The Ssoh'taun were aware of the Uuhakh for most of their history. In Ssoh'taun mythology the Uuhakh are revered as an ancestral people and the religious values of the long gone Uuhakh cultures are still practised by the Ssoh. The Rhuyll offered to use their technology to resurrect the Uuhakh but most ssoh have a mythical view of the species and saw such a thing as sacrilege. The species has a lone descendant known as the Uaan'Sohakh. They are less intelligent than their ancestors and fill the evolutionary niche similar to a dolphin.

The species is famous among Terran scientists as an example of convergent evolution, given that reconstructions of the Uuhakh look almost like large cuttlefish with mandibles and bone plated eyestalks.
