I picked this up from someone else's page, it is sort of funny but it explains everything of how I feel sometimes when I post stuff of my own biding, few people like it and yes it does get a few views and what not, but when I post fan art of anything, most people watch me for that fan art hoping to see "more" (AKA MLP, Koopalings, Undertale maybe, etc, etc, etc,)and I ask myself why? why fan art has to be the only thing that gets more attention? if you like my artwork so much then why my own original art isn't good enough? it's because it's not Fan art of something? it's not an OC of a fandom?, it's not a Fakemon? is not from a series?

Because fan art already has a fan base and thus, more people are behind it.
With original stuff however, you are starting from the bottom to reach the peak and thus, you have little audience.

that's not entirely what I mean, it's not what I draw only, the art style in general, I mean, you have good audience already who like the way you draw, no matter what you draw, IF SO, if you draw something of your own stuff you would expect no difference from it given the fact is the same art style, fan art or not the art style is the same
