My theory is that Infinite is actually Bubsy. Ever since his past disgraces, he's been living in the shadows while his extremely edgy hatred consumes him and allows him to gain demonic powers, and this transforms him into a new being who radiates infinite demonic power. With this new power, he now travels to every reality so that he can destroy every single other game protagonist until there are no others left, and he rises to fame again.
And yes, I know that there's a Bubsy game coming soon wich this makes it more reasonable. I mean, What could possibly go wrong?
