Credit to for the background.I had trouble picking a pokemon from gen 4 to make a Mega Evolution for. The only other one was Roserade and I only got the idea for this one because of a recommendation from a friend. My friend had the idea of giving him armored plates. Mega Rampardos has higher def. and higher atk. because it needs more of that right? As for the ability I yet again have several ideas like Hustle, Solid Rock, or Moxie along with its regular abilities of Mold Breaker or Sheer Fore, but my favorite would be Rock Head.

With that armour and those spikes it should gain the steel archetype and definitely rock head, it would kill literally anything with head smash.

It actually DOESN'T need more Attack, having the highest of all non-Legends. What Rampardos needs for people to start using it again is Speed or else he does down without even doing any damage. Defense is good too, thanks to Ground/Fighting/Steel being more common as Physical and Water/Grass rarely being used thanks to better alternatives.
I'd personally go with Moxie if it had heightened Speed to make a deadly sweeper. If not? Rock Head makes total sense, especially with Head Smash being a must-have for Rampardos.

Realy? I thought it was a bit lacking for a mega evolution. I know it doesn't need more Atk. I was being sarcastic, but Mewtwo didn't need more S.atk and Absol and Garchomp didn't need more Atk. The point of Mega Evolutions is to make them insanely powerful. On the other hand, you are right. Rampardos definitely needs more speed, but if anything its speed would go down based the design. I can't think of a good design that would increase its speed. Anyways, thatks for the feedback.
