Description
This was Boo-Boo, a labrador x pitbull mixHe was only about eight months old when his life was suddenly cut short.
Boo had a history of being food and dog aggressive, and was marked as a 'special attention' dog.
Things seemed to be going better, though, as he was worked with by the people at the shelter.
However, tragedy struck when Boo managed to escape from his pen.
From there, he went to attack a husky.
It was then deemed fit that he was too dangerous to work with, and Boo was put to sleep.
Boo had a rough life from the start, and though I understand why he was put down, it still irritates me beyond belief that his previous owners would breed and raise him to be like that.
Even in the little time he spent with them, they had a lasting effect.
Pitbulls are not dangerous dogs.
It's the people who raise them to be aggressive who are.
People like that are the reason why pits have such a bad reputation, and why so many of them like Boo have to face euthanasia every day.
I can only hope he's in a better place now.
Taken by a very dear friend of mine at the shelter she volunteers at.

I'd almost rather have him put to sleep than have to deal with the pain of being ridiculed and judged just for what he looks like and the way he was raised.
Boo was not happy in the shelter, and not happy with people.
He was just so scared all the time, I almost feel better now that he won't have to put up with that constant terror all the time.

Yeah, but it's sad that he had to go like that.
