this is a truly fantastic peice of photography and shows two flip sides of human emotion. the grim expression on her face in the left pannle seems extreamly set as if she's bracing her self for what i can imagin's a pretty uncomfortable ordeal and this is only perpetuated by the way she's gripping onto the chair. this motionlessness in her face makes a great contrast with the flurry of motion that is the tattoo artist's arms.
in the second photo, i absolutly love the face she's pulling. it's kinda 'this really hurts but i'm just going to pretend that it dosn't, so ha!'. it's those eyebrows that really do it; they arch in the most fantastic fashion and help the grin turn into something that's more akin to a grimace.

if it were cool with you, i'd love to use these as a refrence for a drawinf some day.... and on seeing your signature, would i be wrong in guessing that i've come across a fellow regina spektor fan?

I imagine the two colors reversed; great shots! Very emotive. I hope the tat turned out well, too.
