Description
I did this in Oil Pastels when I was sixteen, I've always adored it but never had the initiative to put it up on the internet.Related content

Amazing, especially for a 16 year old. I love the bright colors.

Haha, thank you. Yeah I was 16 at the time that this was done, amazing to think I made this so long ago! It seems so recent to me.

Holly crud. This is amazing. It's like something out of Alice in Wonderland.

Haha, that's the first time anyone has ever said that about this picture--but I'll take it as a compliment for sure! Thanks!

Thanks so much. This picture, unlike the other one, was ACTUALLY a doodle I did in one of my classes that I ended up enlarging and coloring in.

The conception, colors and the flow give it some kind of deeper feeling to it. I'd say you already had a talent when you were sixteen

A wonderfully psychedelic, symbolic piece, full of weird and wonderful energy. The colours provoke thought, the illustration feels like it should be in a storybook, and you should be proud of your work.

Very pretty colors here and I like that the tree is on a floating island, it add a bit of fantasy to it. I do think there should have been a 3rd clock, maybe down in the right corner, but then I like things in sets of three, so it might just be me.

Hahaha, I too like things in threes, but I felt like it would have pulled from the composition of the tree.

This is lovely! I really dig how you used colour here, and the time theme of the drawing is pretty cool. The composition of this is what strikes me.

This piece appealed to me the most!
I love all the bold colours ;D
I'm not quite sure what you intended with the clocks, but they look awesome!
Its nice to see lots of colour for a change
Rather than all the darker themed art I usually come across
Great piece!

Thanks! I usually do a lot of bright things, I think an artists weakness is the fear of color.

You make a good point!
I like colour!
I tend not to use really bright colours though.. I'm training to be a game concept artist.. And Using too much colour would make my work look abstract
I want to start using more colour though! Its almost summer after all ;D

I was originally going to go into that because my uncle makes call of duty (hook ups) but I'm doing architecture instead. Also, bright colors can add a lot to a work, some of my favorite game concept art is very bright and manic looking (BioShock Infinit), to be honest I don't think bright colors are used enough in games these days.

Oh wow! Thats awesome!
I can see what you mean though!
I want to start doing some environments in a fantasy theme, using purples, blues, greens and yellows etc
You've kinda inspired me to start using more colour than I would normally intend. Thanks bud

Haha, well thanks! I love color, and usually the games that are considered to have the best graphics are the ones that use color very well. I'll look forward to seeing some of your brighter colored art.

I really like this, though I can't pull up the full sized image, unfortunately. Still, the colors are very striking and I love the detail in the tree leaves and bark. I'd like to see you do more work in this style, personally.
