Thanks, I was kinda annoyed that they made Matt Hagen an amalgamation of the two characters. So I imagined that Karlo as a fellow actor who had gone on his killing spree years or even decades prior to Hagens accident. That way we could have both.

Yeah Hagen the 2nd clayface is not an actor he is a scientist (or is the the 3rd one?) and I’d imagine karlo clayface with the voice of Vincent Price

Hagen was the treasure hunter who found the radioactive pool, Preston Payne was a deformed Scientist who used Hagens blood to cure it, Sondra Fuller was a criminal agent. Basil Karlo escaped from prison and stole a blood sample from all of them to get his powers.

I know it's a shame! I always enjoyed the concept of an actor who was screwed over by the industry and went on a killing spree! Theater of Blood with Vincent Price has a similar concept, but is taken much further with how over the top the murders are.
But yeah it kind of stinks they don't use the serial killer actor gimmick in any batman media. He is either an amalgamated with Matt Hagen like in the animated series, or they give him the powers right away! In the comics Karlo didn't get powers until around 40 years after his original debut in Detective Comics #40 (1940).
