I don't know why if i should love you or hate you... i'll go with both!!
This revolver simply looks awesome... you did a REALLY stunning, beautiful revolver, it also looks powerful, tell me, was it modeled for a OC?

Thanks
I modeled it just for my own entertainment also I don't know what "OC" is supposed to be

Np ^^
And OC stands for "Original Character" but since you already answered what i asked i guess it doesn't matter that much

Haha OK
Somewhat I always have a character in mind when modellign a weapon, but sadly I am not realy experianced with character modeling. As soon as I can do characters too, I shure will create unique weapons for hem

I saw one character of yours in your gallery, i have to say it looks damn awesome, but well, the face seems like it could be worked a bit more, but it's a very small detail. And he kinda reminds me of a dude from "Deus Ex 2" it's a very good game, but definitvely you should also play the first one.

I like the artificial wear on the lower rail. Not sure about that 1911 style trigger and the hammer doesn't look like it juts out enough for a comfortable grip. The stainless (at least I hope it's stainless, not chrome or nickel plating) finish is awesome on the cylinder and provides a nice contrast, and those grips look comfortable as hell. A couple of questions: what the heck is that thing that looks like a hinge on the lower rail and what caliber does this badass fire?

The hammer should be out enought, at least I did care abbout that while modeling. But yes, the perspective makes the hammer appear verry short and maybe he is realy a bit to tiny.
The Revolver is beeing reloaded by snipping the nose down, thats what the hinge is good for.
I like that way of revolver-reloading more, the drum stays in a solid position and does not wear. That way the precision of the gun stays same... at least I claim that it is like that
Also, drums moving outwarts at the side got something "fragile" to me.
The caliber was 12mm (about .50 cal) at the end of the modeling process, if I remeber correctly.

Sorry if this comes out as preachy or bitchy. I'm tired and trying to be helpful, not grumpy.
A revolver's cylinder has to rotate (hence "revolver"). This does not change for a breech-loader. Breech-loading revolvers are actually much MORE subject to wear and tear than a swing-out revolver. Breech-loaders like the Webley are also more prone to catastrophic failure. This is the reason you generally do not see breech-loaders outside of small niche markets (the derringer, shotgun and large bore hunting rifles).
A breech-loading revolver is no more accurate than a swing-out revolver.
The arm that holds the cylinder on a swing-out revolver (the "crane") is made of steel and the gun won't fire unless the cylinder is locked into place. It would take a great deal of power to even bend a crane, let alone break it.
Ah, so you didn't model it in a specific caliber? Those rounds look much more like .460 than any of the .50 cal variants I am familiar with. Google it; it's almost a perfect match.

Actually, you can bend the crane if you repeatedly flip the cylinder out and back into the revolver with just the flick of the wrist as seen in many movies and on television. But that would happen over repeated use over time.
The strongest design of revolver is actually the fixed cylinder type but those are the slowest to load as well.

Ah, and I only just noticed this but... what's with the gas tube under the barrel?

I don't know :S
Just put it there because it looks cool. I thought it could be some kind of recoil buffering sysem (like in the Kriss super v) or a laserpointer, who knows?

Hey I have a simple request if you're willing to listen and try it, For my own personal reasons, could you kindly make a version of this gun but a nice...shiny white?

I honestly just wanted to do taht only for you, but I can not open the file anymore, I get a error message. No clue why.
Ofclouse I got a backup, but that one is not posed and got no light setup yet, which would take some while to recreate and im not in the mood for that, sorry :/
Just loading the file and re rendering it with a lil material tweak would be fine, but recreating the previous setup is a bit to much work for the moment. Maybe I'll do so later, after my current projects.
