Description Flat color commission for Jupitol from FA!
She asked me to draw a small comic and title page to go with it about a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue team with a more futuristic setting and gear. Hahah, being familiar with "sci-fi Pokemon," I'd say I'm a good fit for this job.
Here's what she has to say about it:

"This team is much different than what you normally see in traditional games. These Pokemon are equipped with the latest technology of their time. Despite how advanced they may look they still use the traditional team badges around their neck. But if you look closely they are not just for show.
They act as a shield that covers their body and can recharge their weapons using their own pp. Each weapon the Pokemon holds is unique to their type. Treecko has a Razor Leaf weapon. Charmander has a Fire Blaster (Similar to Fire Blast) and Squirtle has a Bubble Beam attack weapon. Each are not restricted by regular pp if a Pokemon used it on its own.
Despite all this advancement, its not just the rescue teams that have this kind of power, space pirates and enemies are out there using similar technology. With their ship they travel all over the galaxy where ever assistance is needed.
This comic will show one of their missions. I hope everyone will enjoy it."

Not Bad :notbadplz:
I wouldnt expect this. Nice job on element-style guns instead of Mass Effect/Halo blasters.

Heheh, I think so too!
Thanks!
Oh, 'FA' stands for 'FurAffinity'. It's pretty much another art site. Her username on there is Jupitol.

By personal opinion, the actual concept looks very simple and clichΓ© (actually, the main reason why I don't really like this kind of story).

Out of it, the drawing is very good as usual. Good continuation. I will probably follow it and see how it will evolve.

Heh, in my world, the Shield Technology can only be used on large objects, such as military tanks, jets, etc.

There are smaller prototypes that are under developed for Military Infantries. But! they're still buggy. But if I'd summarize them, then they're:

Tendency to take "Critical Hits" (making the next hit drop the Shield to 0%, regardless of shield strength or weapon power. Like, even a pistol can 1-hit drop the shield from 100%~0%)
May begin recharging later at times
May recharge at a slower rate at times.

However, the bigger version is working without a problem, though the difference is that they have better endurance, but they recharges slow as heck. Therefore, the Pilots/drivers have to bring Shield Kits along with them. You could say that they're like "Shield Potions"

Aside from that, the last future weapon that the BCU managed to finish implementing were Gauss weapons. Which basically replaces the high-caliber weapons like the AK. I mean, a lot of Power, Penetration & Bullet speed. BUT! it comes at the cost of Weight, Recoil & reload speed (even after replacing the clip, the chamber still need to "charge")

AAANYWAY, judging by the armor designs, I guess that it's supposed to be a PMD + Mass Effect crossover, huh?

Hahaha, yeah, it is a crossover of concepts from those games.

Heh, I thought so, 'cause I recognized the design. I mean, the Sentinel WAS my favorite in ME2 (on the 360) for multiple playthroughs, but then recently, I seemed to prefer the Adept more.

Though I would say that IF, just IF I'd commission a Pokemon+Mass Effect Crossover (possibly with the 2 of us), then I'd love to be an Adept, rather than an Infiltrator.

And the sentinel is also my favorite as well, ME2 or 3. xD

Well alrighty then.

Btw, just to make sure if I got this right, Treecko's gun = Avenger Assault Rifle? (the Assault Rifle you start with in ME2 & 3)

Squirtle's = Shotgun (don't know exactly which model though)

Charmander's = Unknown (can't guess from that angle)

Anyway, personally, mine would've been based on the M-358 Talon. [link] A Shotgun in Pistol form. As well as the M-12 Locust. [link] High Performance (for a SMG) but a small clip (not an issue to me, since I constantly reload anyway)

the-b3ing In reply to ARWINGx1 [2013-05-10 22:29:38 +0000 UTC]

I wasn't thinking specifically which gun, but yeah I did imagine the Treecko's to be an assault rifle kind of gun and the Squirtle's to be a shotgun; kinda like the M300 claymore (At least it is closest to in appearance..) And comparing to the list of guns, I'd say Charmander's is a shotgun like the M23 Katana.

Oooo, yes I use the Locust a lot myself when I play.

Although IF I would only be able to use one particular weapon, then it'd be based on the M-96 Mattock Heavy Rifle. [link] Though mine would've been modified for increased Thermal Clip Capacity ( Max Ammo+ ) at the expense of weight, & the beige parts would be Grey.

Same thing goes with the Boost Machine Gun in Vanquish. High Fire Rate, Accuracy & Power, BUT! a very small Clip. (until upgraded, each clip only holds 15 bullets, or 18 when sufficiently upgraded) Fortunately, it reloads quickly & you have plenty of (total) ammo, so it's just that you have to reload every few secs with it.

Anyway, about the Locust, not sure if you meant in ME3, or both ME2 & 3?

In case you didn't notice, you CAN get the Locust in ME2, (& it's obviously identical to the ME3 counterpart) but you'll need "Kasumi: Stolen Memory" DLC to get it. Otherwise, if I'd suggest some ME2 DLCs, then I've heard that "Lair of the Shadow Broker" & "Project Overlord" are great.

Well, for me, I'm only missing the Citadel DLC for ME3... because it was released shortly after my parents blackmailed me out of the last I have.
