I never read the book but my mom did and it is nothing like the book. For instance they didn't have so many shirtless scenes in the book. They only did that to please the fangirls who only read the book and watched the movies solely because they liked the idea of a 'hot' n 'forbidden' relationship. Only a few people cared about the meaning behind the book. I"m sure even if I read and loved the book (which I doubt) I"m sure I wouldn't watch the movie for that purpose. I'm sure the book in its own right had some good qualities but the way the media destroys it and how fan girls along with other fans only care about who Bella ended up with or should have ended up with.
