Description Eh, something quick.

Thought of doing this after seeing a comment on a Slayers Try video saying that Jillas was Foxy from FNAF...The hell?
Jillas has been around long before FNAF {Since about early April of 1997, but I might be out on the dates}. And the only similarities are they are both anthropomorphic foxes and have an eye patch. Apart from that, they are interlay different characters. To add to that, Jillas could wipe the floor with Foxy any day! I'm totally not bias in this opinion(!)
Geez, I hate the FNAF fandom from the get go, but this is a new form of stupid to come out of that hell hole.

But yee, just something quick using some pics off the anime as a ref. To be honest Jillas is probably my 3rd favorite character from The Slayers {After Zelgadis and Lina...Not at all predictable(!)}. Come one, who doesn't like a fox who has a tone of guns and bombs and is an all-round better character than Foxy?

*Floops back to SAI to finish MYOs
*Looks at date
Right! Looks like I'll be posting more Slayers art tomorrow! Totally not obsess with this anime at all(!)

Yeh, his character design is still good even looking back the anime now. Plus he actually has a personality.
Whilst Foxy is a animatronic with a broken fox suit at the end of the day.

Yeh, seen as it's mostly full of kids who can't handle negative opinions on FNAF.
Almost as bad as the Sonic fandom...Just a matter of time before FNAF overtakes it.

Yeh, their are a few things you should never peeve Cipher off with:
- DA peeps
- The RAF
- The Slayers
But the FNAF fandoms was ridiculous from the start.  XD

Well, that got a chuckle.  This was actually my favorite season of the series.

Ha, ha!
Same for me, Try and Next have always been my favorite seasons. But Try edges ahead with it been less focused on been a comedy and expanding on the universes further. But it's always been hard for me to chose between those seasons.

I give it clearly to Try because Try is better structured and that makes it more engaging.  Next had some really great moments, but it really plods around a lot at the beginning and the middle.  Aside from Xellos, I didn't find anything interesting going on in Next until Halcyform shows up (and even then, Halcyform isn't really interesting, that's just the point where I get a sense that the series is actually going somewhere).  And then after the Kanzel arc at Seyrune, the series goes back to dicking around with no coherent plot other than the macguffin as a barely present narrative thread.
Structure-wise, even the first season was better, because even though Slayers gets off to a rough start, once it gets going, it's great till the end.  But Next had some better hitting moments than the first season (the appearance of the Lord of Nightmares, despite being a deus ex machina, is so well executed and Hayashibara-sans performance is so chilling to watch that it really makes up for a lot of the season's failings), so overall, I give the two a tie.
Try, on the other hand, is great from start to finish.  Not a single episode in the whole season lost my interest and I feel that it had the purest and most consistent expression of the characters, while also wrestling with some heavier and more mature themes than the seasons. Try blows the rest of the series out of the water.

Yup, I mainly like Next for the episodes that worked well on the comedy side, but the plot was a bit over the place {Even though it should have been simple, just getting the Claire Bible}. The arcs didn't add much to the overall season {Bar introducing new characters} and they should have kept more to a "A to B" like Try had, rather then throwing a side arc in for a few episodes that most of the time could have been avoided if Xellos hadn't taken the group to a place that wasn't even related to the Clair Bible. But it paid of for the end battle and {As you said} the Lord Of Nightmares. I still find it hard to separate Try and Next, with. I do give it credit for having better animation the S1 {But that's kind of given} and a stronger story line then S1 in a way, along with the comedy that worked. The only problem I had with S1 was that the space between defeating Rezo and Copy Rezo felt a bit too long {Then again, you did need the episodes to build on Lina and Gourry's personality around Amelia}. I'm still fond of the 1st 3 season of Slayers due to them having a stronger set up and followed along from one seasons end to the next, as season 4/5 was basically 1 season split into 2 with it feeling a bit disjointed from what had been set before.
And I agree Try set a strong standard for any seasons after, having a detailed plot, expanding on the characters and the universe to name a few. It felt more of a "throwback" to S1's personalities {As Zelgadis had been less of a antisocial character through Next compered to him in the 1st season}. The only episodes I felt didn't need to be in was the 4 fillers {Episodes 15-18} that I didn't feel needed to be placed in, it just felt disjointed from the action from the episodes before. The fillers were probably the only problem I had with Try. And with the success of Try, I do wish Again was made as I have a feeling it would have been just as good or better than Try.

Season three felt like a closure to me.  Like it was meant to end the whole series.  I rather think it should have.
