I prefer this version, the lighting is much more 'dramatic', it adds mystery to the scene.

I think both of these images are very good but I think the darker lighting makes the mood far sexier in this version.

I agree the second is nicer in terms of overall lighting quality but the mood is better for me in the first. Maybe you can combine both styles into a third piece.

Or even a fourth or a fifth render. Come on I know you get 5 at a time done for my 1.

Mine is perfect in 3ds Max and seriously fast but slow as hell in Poser. I have no idea why but it makes me hate Poser.

I have not messed with poser most well all of my renders are done in DAZ I have only tinkered in poser and i think it is because I dont care for the library organization and i have been organizing DAZ since i started......

Well I can't even use Daz. If I try to render anything at a decent resolution with Uber environment my computer experiences the blue screen of death. I think theres a hardware incompatiblity somewhere. When I did actually get it to work I found Daz slow too. Its not my PC because as I said 64bit Max with Vray no problems at all. Just Daz and Poser.

Well one issue might be that my runtime folder is huge, another could be that I'm always using IDL in Poser which is slow by everyones account. To be fair if you compare the expense and power of Max to Poser its probably quite realistic for the render time but I find 25-40 minutes slow compared to the 10 I would experience in Max.
Don't worry about it really I just needed to winge and rant.

I havent tried IDL and yeah runtime folders being large can surely slow things down.... I regularly have about 3-5 mins renders...(8 core system with 16G memory). unless i use LDP (light dome pro) then it shoots up to 1.5 hours.... but it is also around 78 lights... with shadow maps on most if not all... used it on the Micaela and cast so far renders this render took about 5 mins... but its only a few lights....

Well I have an 8 core system but only the 4GB of RAM, the board will take up to 8GB but I really don't see the point just for Poser. Nothing else is slow. This is one of the reasons I'm starting to do Max work again, I can get more stuff done at a better quality in my opinion.

If your running 64bit OS you really should invest in more ram, things would be even faster for you... if your using 32bit os then dont bother.... More memory means less access to HD when your running misc programs... and consequently faster renders etc...

Yeah I know. 8GB is the limit on this motherboard though and yes I'm running Windows 7 64bit but buying more ram at present is spending money I don't really have and I don't really need it at present since it would just be for crappy Poser.
I had a 6 million polygon scene rendered in Max in 30 minutes the other day thats good enough performance for me.
