My little niece "Sammi Kat" and I spent part of last week starting her on her first lessons in bushcraft. We actually just did some practice in my yard in learning to find and gather tinder, kindling and firewood. I let her hold her future bushcraft knife (in the sheath only) to get a feel for the weight. Later I used it to show her how to create a "fuzzstick" for fire starting.
