Description
I decided to make this one after having a lot of fun making the hang in the eye of "Showing My Sadness." Hope you like.70% smudging, 25% painting, 5% Photoshop adjustment layers. You can look up the literal meaning of the title yourself, it's just Latin.
Apparently there is something similar to this in the movie "Pan's Labyrinth." I HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN THE MOVIE yet. This has nothing to do with the movie.

Yikes. That's a little freaky, on first sight.
The warped shadows in the little nooks and crannies of the fingers are super-cool, though. Excellently done.

i just want you to know that this really creeps me out. and i have no idea what pan's labyrinth is. so i can't tell you it looks like something out of it, obviously. okay, but it's cool. just in a really creepy way. i like that it looks like an oil painting. and i think we all know that i think that's an amazing thing.

I just looked it up on Google images and I saw the photos with the creature with his eyes on the palms of his hands. It makes me sad because I thought I was being a little more original.

Aww! I didn't mean it like that, I'm sorry! It >looks< very good indeed. But I think the concept of eyes on hands has appeared in a lot of mythos, even of the ancient sort. Not just some dumb movie.

When I saw the thumb of this, I honestly had no idea what it was, how it was made, and even on full view I didn't understand until I read your comment. I like the image. It's compelling. I like the color range, the green is vibrant and emotional charged. The only thing I wonder about now is the meaning of the picture. What are you trying to convey? Also, I think that this would be SO cool as a painting, or if you used brushes in PS to make it appear like a painting. Good job!
