Atlast I managed to get a decent shot of him!This is my European Eagle owl Merlin! European Eagle owls are the biggest species of owl in the word..growing to around the same size as a golden eagle.
A typical male can grow over 24 inches high and their wingspan can be bigger than five and a half feet long.
It does look funny when i'm holding him...Like he's bigger than me
And he always has a knack of putting his wing around my back for balance but it looks as though he's holding my back!
I may scrap this...Or may make prints and sell it.. O_O

And to tell ya the truth, I've never been mobbed by a bird at night (closest I've come to that is having a cat jumping on top of my friends' tent.....now that was scary, considering that I had recently watched a scary film involving being out in the wilderness

I know nothing about Owls except that they make no sound when flying and can scare the hell out of you if you're walking in the country at night (large bird + caught in moonlight = scared sh*tless!)

Yeah! I mean he sits on my glove and randomly begins to hove above my fist and he's so silent and light i don't even notice untill he lands on my fist again!

They are quite hard.... I'd say very hard but I love working with him so its only a bit hard if you get that.
Training though can be frustrating when he's in a stubborn mood O_O
