Made this after I watched the new Young Justice show. In the Pilot Robin and some others destroy cloning attemt on themselves. I figurd what if the succeded in cloning Robin? Would'nt it be cool if the would introduce Red X in Young Justice. To my knowledge Red X was a character made for the Titans cartoon and not used in the comics so it would be nice to explore this character again.Related content

You know what? I think Red X is much more plausible in the Young Justice universe than the Teen Titans universe. At least weapons and powers wise, anyway.

And hey, since you've gotten critism on the mask design...how about you make it a face plate? That way you can have the original design while not compromising the facial proportions.

hehe my my thoughts is that it is a faceplate over the black hood. the angle justdont show it. Im working on a new image of this design with a few detail changes but i wanted to keep the yj art style so im using robinas a mold again,but the mask will show as a diffrent piece apart from the black hood better.

Red X is one of my favorites from the Teen Titans series. It would be sooo cool if they did show him in the Young Justice series. Love the way you have drawn him. New design. Suits him. Though the skull on the mask is kinda...creepy. Still, love it!

Haha really? thnx! Ive heard complains on how i did the mask though, I never really liked the original red 's mask couse it diddent fit a real face. I tried different variations like batman cowl and such but ended up with this when the nose is cut out it seemed more realistic.

though they will never d it. Copyright issues is a big prob on that one plus I dont thik they even would want to. Red X in young justice would be cool but it wouldn't be a right fit for the show. Red X isn't even a "real" character, they made him up as robins oposite becouse they couldn't get the ok to use Jason Todd.

Yeah but dont think it would be a goodfit, Red-X was created for teen titans due to the legal issue that said the could not use jason todd as robins opposite/alter ego.Red- has no other versions of himself so they would have trouble fitting him in couse his only story is ti be sort of an antihero version of robin. Why go through the trubble of remaking him when there is tons of real dc characters to do the exact same thing with. But I agree he's a cool character for what he was but asdly we will probobly never see him again unless he shows up in the comics thats based on the titans cartoon.

Thanx, figured the suit should look more like robins and a litle more realistic. The mask has always botherd me, espacially seen from the side, i mean dont the guy have a nose hehe so I tried a made a whole bunch of redisigs on the mask but this one seemed the most realistic.

Thanx! Yeah, Got the idea when the attemted to clone robin and the others. Though its doudfull he will show up again hence he was made for the teen titans. Red X was suposed to be, acording to those involved, Jason Todd. But instead they made a complete new character, but left in a vlue that it could be Jason.

and maybe black manta kid or something for Aqualad,
i say may have since Robin left work for Bats
and Jason was the next to train under Batman
but may have went rogue for reason my guess is.

I made this design from the model of the new yj show, just google young justice and it wi come up. I tried from scratch from the biginning but i coud never match the same style so I used that model from the poster as a base, wanted it to ft the show robin/red-x the same as in teen titans.

I think this design works very well, and if I'm not mistaken, didn't Red X precede the Red Hood (Jason Todd version)?

Hehe yeah I know he was just a stand in but I kinda liked Red X, he was somewhat in the middle of of paths taken by diffrent Robins, Nightwing and the Red Hood. If they would make more of an original orgin and stay far away from the teddybear-mentalety that was the Teen Titans cartoon they could make something great out of this character.
