Description
Another shot from my short April escapade. This one little bird landed in the tree right beside my shoulder, gave me the once over. After a moment, it decided I was no threat and started to forage for bugs.
What is it, ya ask?
LOL! I'm often doing ID for others,
so for a change of pace I figured I'd see how my watchers would do...
Name that bird!

This one was active and completely unphased by my presence - staying within a 4-10' radius of me for quite a while.

This looks like a ruby-crowned kinglet.
I think their song is pretty easy to hear, and if you happen to catch a male in the spring time, maybe he'll poof up his bright red crest.

Bravo!
Good eyes!
It took me a while to figure this one out as the last Kinglet I saw was a male and he seemed much smaller than this bird.
The colors are similar to a couple different birds (warblers, flycatchers, etc) - except for the yellow at the flight feathers and the tail.

Thanks.
Well I will admit IDs not the easiest - this pattern is similar to a few different birds.
