The animation errors being canon are a result of an even in transformers cybertron known as the "Unicron Singularity" ( tfwiki.net/wiki/Unicron_Singul… ) this event sent out waves of fuckery through out all the transformers multiverse and is the in canon explanation for any continuity and animation errors present in any of the series.
