Description
A forest at night. I wanted to create a dreamlike feel with this painting but I donβt know how well that came off. The background could have used more work.Painted with gouache

Very nice, the dream feel to this is pretty evident. I like the way the moon is done, though i only wish there was just a bit more detail to the trees, especially the closer-up ones. But those branches, great job!

not bad at all, looks as though you sprinkled some light orange, which i'm not sure works with the image. the trees of course are rather smooth, and i think there's too much open space on the bottom part there...mist? fog? dirt?

No, thatβs not orange. The only thing I believe it could be is the illustration board coming through where I only did a wash, the board being a warmer tone then the paint I was using. I should have greyscale it, but I didnβt want to lose the cool grey the paint has.

This is a favorite for sure. This reminds me of "the nightmare before christmas" film. The trees have so much character and I love the moonlight. The color scheme is so sharp and so strong. This is one of my absolute favorites on here. AWESOME JOB!

this is totally sweet. caught my eye right away. i give you kudos and yeah, you totally caught a dream like quality. yeah, the background could have used a bit more work, but its still a sweet piece.

I really love this one. I think you acheived the dreamlike feeling well. The colors are nice and dramatic, though soft at the same time. I especially love the way the brances curl out into the moon. Good job!
