Entry #43! The great dark one, the God Slayer… the ruler of all evil… Darklore!

Powers:
- Shadow Bolts: Launched from Darklore’s mighty mace, the death god can fire several blue and purple colored bolts of energy. Each of these bolts has various effects and can change depending on why they’re being used. They almost always cause explosions, but can also burn objects and even have a good amount of force behind each blast.
- Darkness Orb: The Jaws of Death open up to reveal strands of energy dancing between the bone teeth. This energy combines to form an orb of swirling dark colors that soon fires out like a cannon shot. This blast, called the Darkness Orb, is extremely powerful, capable of creating sizeable explosions and blasting his opponents several hundred meters back.
- Darkness Field: Darklore lifts up his mighty mace and a “bubble” of black forms from it and expands, eventually creating a dome of blackness that cancels out all light, electronic, natural, or supernatural. No light can exist in this one-mile zone of complete darkness.
- Jaws of Death: Darklore has a habit of adorning the bones of his fallen Gods as armor and weapons. One such victim of his was one of Argus’ brother “Primal Gods” and the jaws of the being were merged onto Darklore’s hand, creating the Jaws of Death.
- Chaos Mace: A mace made out of the spine of a fallen God and the bones of another for the actual mace, the Chaos Mace is a near-indestructible tool of destruction. Darklore wields this weapon with skill and should another try and pick up the mace, the weapon will surge them with intense amounts of energy.
- Embrace the Death God: Darklore is a being of many souls but has none for himself. While all mighty, the God prides himself in corrupting even the most powerful of Gods. His victims’ bones aren’t just adapted into his body, but their soul also. He gains their knowledge and some of their power. Not just this, but the souls, even the brightest of them all, embrace his darkness. When Darklore speaks, his slaves often speak from within his body, always agreeing with him or repeating what he says. Should Darklore’s body be destroyed, his mind and souls will remain alive and dormant, able to speak with those that contact him.
- Hollow: When needed, Darklore’s body can become “hollow” like a ghost. While his boney armor doesn’t work like this, the black parts of his body, making it hard to grip him or attack with projectiles.

Biography: Hell, an alternate dimension outside our own, has become legendary. If you’re religious, this is it, the lake of fire and where all souls are damned. If you’re a science buff, it’s a parallel dimension populated by unknown creatures and a very aggressive race of Inter-Dimensional Extraterrestrials. Whichever view point you look at it, Hell is a very real place, and a very real danger. It’s hard to say which dimension is older, Heaven or Hell, but the battle between both realms has become legendary. The war was started a long, long time ago… In Heaven itself.

With eons passing, names have been changed and events modified, but the basic outline remains the same: a force of good went bad. His original name lost now, Darklore started out as a God, a powerful being that was sworn to protect his own universe. With centuries passing, this God began to dive into the dark powers of Hell once the two universes discovered each other’s existence. This eventually lead to his corruption.

The God lost his soul and his body. He became a hollow creature, but a very powerful one at that. He waged a battle in Heaven, killing several Gods before coming into conflict with the then watchers of the Earth. The Primal Gods, whom were adapting the planet for the dinosaurs, waged a titanic battle with the dark one, but Darklore as he came known to be called, slaughtered most of them effortlessly and began to use their bones as weapons and armor.

But one stood in his way: Argus.

The two clashed in Heaven, smashing each other through the city of light until Darklore was banished and sent retreating into Hell where his power grew beyond that of even Argus. Ruthless and aggressive to the extreme, and feeding off of the powers of the Gods he slain, this creature returned to attack Heaven, and this time he had an army!

Alongside Darklore, Yoomanga, one of the strongest of all demons. The two attacked Heaven, but Yoomanga himself tried to use his Black Hole on Argus and the city of light. Darklore couldn’t let this happen. Not wanting Heaven destroyed, but wanting to rule and corrupt it, the God Slayer attacked Yoomanga. As the wounded Argus watched on, the battle between the evil ones raged in Heaven as the titans clashed. Eventually Darklore smashed his mace into Yoomanga’s skull, knocking the red demon out cold.

But as Darklore readied to finish Argus off, the last of the primal Gods lashed out, making the demon lord retreat to Earth. When on Earth, the demon lord began plan b and his legions began to spill onto the Earth. On Earth, however, Heaven had placed its own guardian: Scutes, a Demi-God.

When Argus and Yoomanga joined force, they combined their power with Scutes and soon the so-called “Earth Trio” assaulted the demon’s army, but not even their strength could topple the might of Darklore! The Earth itself joined in on this battle, spilling streams of fire into the air as Scutes brought tornadoes and hurricanes down on Darklore, but still nothing stopped this fiend.

As more and more twisters fell from the sky, Yoomanga pulled out the Necronomicon. Despite the law of Heaven and Hell agreeing against it, the pair summoned Orochi! This great serpent scarred the land as it rose from the ocean and ground, splitting it a thousand times as its snapping jaws and streams of fire killed Darklore’s demons by the hundreds.

The war was quickly coming to an end and Darklore knew it. But if he was going to die, he swore to take Argus down with him. The two fought again as Scutes and Yoomanga tangled with the fleeing demons. Weakened from this drawn out fight, Darklore tried to escape Orochi and the trip, but his energy attacks had little effect against them. With a punch, Darklore was sent hurtling into one of Orochi’s gapping jaws. The demon cried out in pain and horror, as did the souls that composed him. His flesh began to smoke and sizzle as not even it in hollow form could contend with Orochi. His arms gave out and soon Darklore vanished into the pit of Orochi’s stomach.

Inside Orochi’s stomach, Darklore had no idea what would happen next. While outside, Demortis had stolen the Necronomicon so that Orochi couldn’t be banished from Earth, Darklore’s body was eventually digested by Orochi, leaving only his vile mind and souls inside the creature. And like the great serpent of power, they too went into hibernation, waiting for the day to be freed…

Creative History: Darklore is a kaiju that wasn’t designed by me. It was actually designed by DinoHunter2 some years ago. I asked him to design some cannon fodder demons for my story Deadly Alliance and Darklore was made to be a “demon general.” I loved this design so much that he became a full-fledged monster of my roster. While he originally had leg-like spears out of his back, his design hasn’t changed much since then. Since that story, Darklore has been a staple of my roster. In my aborted story here on DA, some may recall his role as the “demon bounty hunter” hunting Milenko and crew while wearing a cowboy getup in a human form.

Well I ditched that now.

A human form doesn’t work too much for Darklore and I don’t see why a creature of his power would even want one. The whole “bounty hunter” thing was ditched and now he is the ultimate evil.
