Yes, I used to get almost every Sci-Fi original. Now I only really get the ones I can consider "tolerable". Shelf #1 features, mostly, direct to DVD/TV movies with some '80s horror thrown in too. The better stuff is in shelf 2 and 3 since those shelves are easier to access.

And yes, those are Goji things at the very top. Goji bottlecaps FTW.

Wow you've got quite the collection.

Gotta love creature flicks. My favourite kind of horror genre.

I have a collection like this. Not quite as large, but it's getting there. DinoCroc and Abominable are particular favorites. XD

Too right, mate.that's why i consider only the first one as a good one.with Lance Henrksen of course

DTWX In reply to overburden [2009-01-25 23:32:19 +0000 UTC]

And the 3rd & 4th ones as they were a whole lot better than the 2nd.

Lance motioning his gunshot & throat slit in part 3 was just too much.

overburden In reply to DTWX [2009-01-26 00:50:17 +0000 UTC]

yeah, but still...mostly first parts are way better that sequels.and as to Lance, you're right.but i think he's gonna be an another "immortal" actor. It's "Bishop" after all...

Because of the cheesy writing & overacting, it's more of comedy to me.

JacobSpencerKaiju79 [2009-01-13 01:47:33 +0000 UTC]

Sure a bunch of movies.

On the SciFi Original thing, are they ever going to release War Birds on DVD?

The-Great-MM In reply to JacobSpencerKaiju79 [2009-01-13 02:31:47 +0000 UTC]

I know it's been released in Japan, so I'd say give it a few more months. Then again, it did take 5 years to get Bugs on DVD stateside.

That was actually good movie from Sci-Fi channel. Even Morgoth from Kaijuphile liked it. Of course, what did you think of it?

Took us a while to get Gamera The Brave, so I don't feel too bad.

If War Birds is the one with WWII aircraft vs Pteranodons, then it has been released on DVD.

Same here. All their recent creature films are rubbish. Bad acting and CGI throughout... not even amusingly bad.
