Oh my god, this reminds me that I recorded a football game over an old cheap cartoon video as a kid because we had a VCR that recorded shit lol. I still don't know why it was even possible to record television shows over existing tapes.
That being said, VCRs saved my life when I was a kid that got home really late from school and my dad (who stayed home all day) recorded episodes of pokemon that were on before I got home, because I missed all the after-school cartoons. xD

I did the same thing as a kid! Recorded random shit over other movies, then I had a bunch that didn't match their labels so it was always a surprise.

I once thought that writing over the label would change the content of the movie... I think I wrote "A Goofy Movie" over some other film's sticker, and tried putting it in the VCR so I could watch it. I learned something that day. xDDD
