"Ha, good one man! That's funny."

"I'm not joking dude, I think, no, I know I'm in love with her."

"Well we all love her, you know? We're family… Maybe you're confusing your emotions with each other?"

"NO! I'm not, I love Star, I love you, I love Robin, but this love, it's… different."

Cyborg's mouth straightened at the seriousness this conversation was heading, "BB, we had this conversation not so long ago, well 3 years in fact, you claimed that Terra was the one. Someone who you wanted to spend the rest of your life with."

Beastboy threw his hands up in exasperation, "I know I said that! However I was also 14, I was in love with a lot of girls! I've lost track on all the girls I decided I loved who so much as walked past! But this time, it's different, I only feel love for Raven. I feel protection, comfort, need, and desire whenever I'm around her…"

"But, you've always said that Raven had creeped you out and who's to say that you only feel these things because Terra doesn't want anything to do with us?"

"I thought about that, that maybe I only wanted Raven as a replacement for Terra, but, I don't think that's the case anymore. Cyborg I don't care if she's creepy, she's just different like all of us; we have similar pains and we're opposites! She… completes me."

Cyborg set the wrench he was currently in possession with down, "So what now then? Are you going to tell her this? I mean, you guys have never even been on a date. Who's to say that your thoughts won't change when you do?"

"I don't need to go on a date with her to know how I feel, we have lived in the same tower for over 3 years, I think that's enough for me to come to realize things."

"Even so, Beastboy, dating a teammate is not always a good thing, what if she doesn't feel the same? You'll be heartbroken and unable to function."

Beastboy looked to the ground in remorse, "Are you saying this because it happened to you?"

Cyborg sighed and faced away from Beastboy, "What happened with Bumble Bee was unfortunate, she just wasn't the right one and I took things too far."

Beastboy stepped up to his best friend and laid a hand on his shoulder, "I'm sorry."

Cyborg sniffled but shook it off, "Man, I just want to be sure you're serious about this because though you're my best friend, Raven is like my sister. You hurt her and I'll bring a whole world of pain down on your ass. Just please ask her out on a date before you even think about confessing."

Beastboy laughed, "I'm not going to confess to her! Well, not any time soon at least," Beastboy frowned, "How do you ask out women Cy?"

Cyborg turned around startled at the question and stared at Beastboy like he was joking, when he realized he wasn't he busted up laughing, "Are you serious right now?!?! Holy crap!"

Beastboy frowned and shoved him, "Shut up! It's not that funny! I've asked out girls before I just don't know what to do with Raven!"

Cyborg fell to floor chuckling his  parts off, "Ho man! HO MAN!!! This is too good!!!"

Beastboy huffed and was about to come up with a retort but was interrupted by the alarm. He sighed and gave his "friend" one last look, "Just forget I asked! I'll see you later." He then stormed up the stairs, exiting the garage, and made his way to the common room. Once there he meet up with Robin and Raven.

"Alright you two, it's you're turn out today-"

"Robin, we KNOW, that's why we're here," Raven just rolled her eyes.

"Whatever! Just be careful out there and I'm sure you guys will be back quick, it looks like it's just some more thieving vandals again, not much of a threat."

Beastboy took some stretches and ran in place, "Ah yeah! Easy as Tofu CAKE! Where to?"

Robin pulled up the blue map, "It looks to be eastside; Grabber Blue Street… Who named these streets anyways?"

The duo nodded, "On it!" and they were gone, leaving Robin to continue guessing the city's choice of names.

Raven dodged yet another boulder that was thrown her way, "You know, when Robin said this would be a quick vandalism job, I believed him!"

Beastboy jumped into the air doing a couple flips before landing on the debris that was thrown at him, "Well usually that's all it is! What the hell is this crap though! This bozo should be in the Jumpcity Penitentiary!"

Raven went on the offensive and levitated a couple of her own shards of metal and rock to be sent spiraling at their adversary. "They were never able to hold anyone in for more then a few months."

When Beastboy and Raven made it to the scene of the crime they were a bit surprised to see Cinderblock stomping about. Using the time, Cinderblock wasted no second to begin a full frontal barrel to them.

Currently, the two titans were having to weave their way through piles of crap just to lay a hand on the blockhead and the fight was wearing them out.

"I don't think I've had to fight like this since we defeated the Brotherhood," Beastboy complained, "My arms are jello!"

"Then let's end this shall we?" Raven asked as she began her chant with her arms raised before her. When she finished the earth began to shake and from the ground came huge metal water pipes. "Beastboy! I'm going to need you to hold him still!" As she said this another boulder came flying her way and hit her square in the stomach.

"RAVEN!" Beastboy tried to run to her but another rock blocked his path.

"I'm fine," Raven yelled over the crashing, holding strong, "Just get him pinned!"

Beastboy nodded and bent over taking the form of a gorilla. He launched himself into the air to land just before Cinderblock; Beastboy rose a fist and uppercutted the block man. As Cinderblock flew into the air Beastboy jumped up to smash the block back into the ground, knocking him out for a few seconds. Beastboy then got behind him and held his arms down strongly.

"Okay! Raven I have him!"

Raven chanted once again and sent a wave of water toward him and their fallen enemy, "Beastboy! Move out of the way now!" And just before the water reached him, Beastboy skyrocketed  himself into the air and morphed himself into a falcon.

He then flew back to Raven and took on his natural state; he watched in aw as Raven encased Cinderblock in a huge ball of water suspending him in the air. He observed how Cinderblock tried to escape in vain and soon the enemy had passed out. Once he had she released him and the block man lay silently before them; only when they heard the cops arrive they knew that they wouldn't see him for awhile.

Beastboy smiled and pumped his fist in the air, "HELL YEAH! Nice job Raven."

She smirked, "Wouldn't have been able to do it without you Beastboy."

Beastboy felt a pang shoot through his stomach and all of a sudden he was full of butterflies; he blushed, "Heheh yeah…" He shook his head and was reminded of Raven's hit to her stomach, he walked to the front of her and tried to see if she had any cuts or blood. When he saw nothing he asked, "How are you doing? Are you fine?"

Raven peered at him from beneath his hood, "I'm perfectly alright, I'll probably have a bruise but there's nothing new with that."

"Well if you, uh, you know? Want me to check it I'd be happy to help."

Raven rolled her eyes, "It's just a bruise Beastboy, I think I'll live. Now come on let's go brief  the cops and go home."

"Alright."

The briefing didn't take much time and soon the two of them were walking down the streets to the tower in no hurry. It was silent between them but Raven didn't mind since she always had found peace in silence, however for Beastboy it was a little uncomfortable. Not that he didn't mind spending time with Raven, it was just that he was preoccupied with what Cyborg had said.

'Should I ask her out? I mean that's the most LOGICAL way to go, that's how all relationships start! But… this is Raven, what if she says no? Will I give up?… No, I won't! Come one Beastboy! You can do this! She's your friend! She wouldn't do anything too bad to hurt you right ol' bud? Well mayb- NO! Buck up and be a man!!!'

Beastboy cleared his throat and began to scratch the back of his neck, "So, uh, Raven, I've been thinking…"

"Hm?" Raven urged as she gazed at the sunset.

"Well, I feel that recently, we have been, um, growing more close? Yeah close, I don't know if you agree but-"

"No, no I agree."

Beastboy smiled and found more courage swell, "I've just been wondering if maybe, you and I, could go on a-"

"NO!"

Beastboy deflated, "But, I wasn't even done asking…" his voice trailed off and he could feel his stomach tighten in disgust at himself and agony.

Raven snapped her head at him with fear, "Beastboy, the-the-…"

He looked up from the ground at her, "The what?" He faced forward and saw what she had just seen, "The Tower."

Even from the distance they were from the Tower, they could see that is was broken into. Windows were shattered and the front door laid to waste.

The two were quick to shoot into the air and make it across the harbor to their home, where their friends hopefully were. They ran in through one of the broken bay windows and landed on glass and shards of wall. Both of them gasped at the damage done to the tower; scorch marks, torn furniture, small flames crackling, pieces of clothing and the most horrific thing was blood.

Upon seeing the red liquid Raven found herself trying to grab something, anything, and the first thing she found was Beastboy's hand. She squeezed it and could feel both their heartbeats increase, "Beastboy I'm…"

"Scared?" he offered.

Raven ducked her head in shame, "I'm scared of what we might find, our friends… I couldn't bear."

Beastboy squeezed her hand slightly tighter, "We need to make sure they're okay," truthfully he was just as nervous as Raven was, but someone had to be strong here or else who knows what would happen.

Raven righted herself again and sucked in a breath mentally preparing herself of what they might find, "You're right," she said as she let go of her hand (much to the dismay of Beastboy). "I think it would be best if we split up, we can cover more ground that way."

"What if whoever did this is still here? If they can do THIS to the tower and 3 Titans, I can't even imagine what they could do to one of us."

Raven closed her eyes and chanted underneath her breathe, "I detect no threats."

"And our friends?"

Raven looked forlornly at him and shook her head.

Beastboy furrowed his brows, "Maybe you didn't search long enough, you could be getting false readings!"

Raven looked through him blankly and nodded her head to try and save some hope. She cleared her throat slightly, "You should probably search for Cyborg, he was in the garage last correct? I'll look for Starfire, when I last saw her she was in training room waiting for Robin. I may be able to find the both of them."

"Okay, buzz as soon as you find something and meet me back here in 10 minutes, if we can't find anything by then, well, then we'll search together."

"Understood."

Beastboy forced the doors leading into the garage open, judging as he pass that someone tried to break in but was unable to. This little fact gave Beastboy some hope that maybe Cyborg had been unscathed; that wishful thinking was thrown straight out the window though when Beastboy saw a gapping hole in the wall and a decimated T-car.

He could tell that a giant battle had ensued based off of sonic blast marks on the walls and rocks laying about. 'Rocks? Why would rocks be in here.'

"Cyborg?" Beastboy whispered out hoarsely, "Are you here?"

He heard a slight tumble of pebbles and quickly made his way over to the noise and gaped at the sight before him. Cyborg lay tossed in a corner with limbs strewn about and cuts to his face. Beastboy rushed to his friends side with quick feet, "Cyborg, Cyborg are you there?" He snapped his fingers in front of his face and was thankful when he heard a moan escape his friends lips.

The green titan then fumbled for his black and yellow communicator to call Raven; she answered after a ring, "Raven I found Cyborg."

"And I've found Robin and Starfire, Beastboy it's really bad."

"We need to get them to the infirmary, I'll be there in a minute."

Beastboy hung up and transformed himself into grizzly bear to pick Cyborg up.
