Such is not the case anymore. Doesn't matter if you're looking at him or hiding behind a tree, he moves towards you. Actually, he GLIDES toward you. It's pretty freaking creepy.

And in the game there's a cornfield that has a T.V in it. And it's playing the movie Frankenstein.
Sadly, the game is rigged so that when you stand there watching it-BAM! Slendyman gets you!
