The movie was surprisingly better than I expected. R.L. Stine's little cameo at the end even changed my mind about the Jack Black version.
AND YES. THE MANTIS. THE MANTIS IS WHAT INTRODUCED ME TO GOOSEBUMPS IN THE FIRST PLACE CUZ I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. PRAISE THE MANTIS AND HE WILL SPARE YOU.

I loved it, they did an amazing job with it!
The only problem I had with it though was the fact that a lot of the monsters they kept showing off in promotional pictures and such weren't in the movie other than walking around in the background :b
The mantis is so cool! Definitely an under rated Goosebumps character.
