Related to Barry Allen through a marriage, Wally West would become involved with a replication of the accident that gave Barry his powers, the young Wally West was granted hero status as Kid Flash, a kid hero who would become part of the (Teen) Titans and go on misadventures with both Flash and the Titans. He would later take on the mantle of the Flash for a time when Barry was thought missing, but eventually the status quo returned.
