When the initial MechaGodzillas were rolled out, they used the colors of Godzilla himself. Given they had an EMP field that prevented close up images and videos of it being caught, it worked for a short time until it had to face Godzilla himself. However, after the ruse was blown and the MechaGodzillas were Mass Produced with the silver and red colors, special Commander and Elite versions of MechaGodzilla feature this special coloring, perhaps out of respect or to use the intimidation of Godzilla on their foes...
