The son of the mutant Mystique, Kurt Wagner was given to a church to live his life, simultaneously loved, pitied, and demonized due to his devilish physique and teleportation powers. However, his life would take a right turn when he was visited by Charles Xavier. Becoming an X Men called Nightcrawler, Kurt would help out the team in a variety of missions and eventually meet, though disagree with, his mother. Ever the excited member, he's an essential X Man.
