Description
Story- I was thinking of a white haired counterpart to Cyclonis, sort of like a ying yang. She doesn't have a backstory or a name so I'd love your input.EDIT- I've decieded her name is Ralidae, daughter of a decorated Cyclonian general who was rewarded with a small tower of his own connected to the Cyclonian tower. Her mother died in a Sky Knight attack and she works with crystals because the magic fascinates her, on top of her physical trainning to one day take her father's place and lead a battalion of the Cyclonian army. With similar interests and ambitious hearts, it's no wonder why these girls became kindred spirits.

A white-haired counterpart to Cyclonis whom she (Cyclonis) once loved? I can get on board with that! I'd suggest giving her a similar personality to Piper's, which might explain why Cyclonis was able to bond with her. Maybe she was reminded of this former lover of hers.

I was thinking something along the same lines, that she was a crystal mage. Similar to piper indeed but I wonder how they met. Thanks for responding, I'm honored to have your input X3

I would suggest that they met in childhood, when Cyclonis's grandmother was still empress of Cyclonia. Maybe she (the white-haired girl) is the daughter of one of Cyclonia's top generals, one who is so high-ranking that he and his family were allowed to live in the palace along the royal family, Cyclonis's family. So they would spend a lot of time together, practically like sisters, but as they grew older their feelings became more than sisterly.

That....Is a great idea! And, the white haired girl is trainning to take over for her Dad when she retires only she incorporates crystals into her strategies. How 'bout for a name?

As for a name, hmm...How about Sekua? Based on the skua bird, since a lot of characters are named after birds or have named that are slightly versions of bird names. Or else I'd suggest Kite or, to really drive home the resemblance between her and Piper, Plover.

Right, bird species names. I know I want Crane as the surname orΒ Rallidae.Β They seem robust enough to belong to a general, and too bad Dove is taken. Plover is also Snowy Plover, snow for her hair, but why would she be named snow if there isn't any in cyclonia? There's Sora, Magolia and Laxuli. I'm going to make a journal of bird species names I can find so others can pick a name from it.
There's a bird, Black Skimmer, and that's where the name for the skyrides came from X3

I'm not sure about surnames, since they hardly ever seem to appear in Storm Hawks (my personal headcanon is that atmosians don't even have surnames unless they're part of an aristocracy like on Terra Klockstoppia or Cyclonia).
But as for a journal so that others can vote, I think that's a great idea! I know how hard it can be to choose between a bunch of good-sounding options.

I'm thinking "Childhood Memories" and the possibility of Ralidae going her own way, i.e. not stay by Cyclonis' side as Cy hoped. You have any ideas to add? Maybe there's a turn in the war and Ralidae's father falls in battle and she has to lead his army to the final battle and win. It's great talking to you.

Eh, I think it would add some tragedy to Cyclonis's backstory. Although on second thought, you could have her still be alive, but she left Cyclonis.
But also, the title of this drawing is "The One She Loved", as in past-tense, so something must've happened to Ralidae.

I get what you meant. Maybe they both wanted to leave their predestined destiny of being the empress of Cyclonia and the top general, but when Cyclonis' grandmother dies, Cyclonis was immediately empress with no intention of leaving and grants Rallidae permission to leave.

Yeah surnames don't exist but I meant post a journal full of bird species names to help others stay canon. I suddenly had the idea that Atmos was like space, so many terras, not all were visited at least not by the storm hawks and it brings home it's a really big world and we were far from done seeing it all XD
