I remember reading about the concept of this animated series before it aired, my first reaction was of hate, because I couldn't picture Batman not being Bruce Wayne, plus the idea of a Batman without a cape seemed unforgivable. However, I am proud to admit I was very wrong about this series and grew to love this Batman after a few episodes. Terry McGinnis grew on me and was very glad that Kevin Conroy from BTAS was playing the aging Bruce Wayne who teaches Terry to be the new Batman.Sadly, this series only lasted 3 seasons, I wished there could have been more... At least there was the direct to DVD film "RETURN OF THE JOKER" with Mark Hamill and 3 episode from JLU. that featured Batman Beyond.

I do not like Batman Beyond only because it ruined Justice League for me. It ruined Superman for me, it ruined Wonder Woman for me, it ruined Hawkman for me, it ruined The Flash for me, it ruined Aquaman for me, it ruined Jonn Jonzz for me, it ruined DC for me. It gives me this animalistic feeling that Kevin Conroy has overstayed his welcome on my lawn.

I was very surprised that Warner Bros. canceled it after three seasons.

I was too--especially as they were just bringing the WB on line

What made me mad was in Return of the Joker you got to meet the older Tim Drake, but I would have liked Terry to also meet Dick Grayson as well.
I think they should have done that before the series came to an end.
