In this universe it's the 80's (hence the style of exercise wear), but they have magic, which has changed things a bit. Computers are more advanced because they integrate magic into the circuitry, but these people don't have cell phones, social media, etc. Otherwise you would've seen them clicking away with their cameras already.

I have some ideas for future comics set in this same universe, so stay tuned...
