Tracie awoke with a strange buzzing in her head. She sat up, rubbing her arms and legs, which felt cramped from lying on what looked like thick metal bars, arranged in a kind of grid on the floor. What the hell, she grumbled inwardly, carefully getting to her feet without slipping into the gaps. The last thing I remember, I was coming out of aerobics class, heading to the dressing room, and that guy was waiting there with some kind of device in his hand...

She looked around worriedly, trying to see in the near darkness around her. Reaching forward she found her hands touching more bars. "It's a cage," she realized with a sinking feeling in her stomach. "I'm in a jail, or prison somewhere..."

"Not exactly," a loud voice boomed. "Glad to see you're finally awake. I'm going to turn the lights on so be ready for a shock."

Tracie winced at the blinding glare. As her vision returned she saw a massive face projected in front of her, through the bars, as though on a gigantic movie screen. "What's going on?" she demanded, realizing now that she was, indeed, in a cage. "Let me OUT!!"

"Good idea," he told her, and a massive hand appeared on the screen, almost touching the cage in front of her. An amazing illusion, she thought, even as the hand moved off to the side. "Come on out, little one," her captor went on, his voice echoing around the room like thunder.

Tracie gasped in shock as the tremendous fingers took hold of the nearby cage gate and pulled it open. That's when she realized it wasn't a projection at all, but a real hand, as big or bigger than herself. No, she realized all at once, even as she screamed in horror, it's not big, I'm small...very, very small...!

Her new owner laughed as she cowered in the back of the cage. "No need to be scared," he told her gently. "I always take good care of my toys..."
