Description

Camila and Valeria slipped into the magician's back room. They'd been his assistants for over a week now and knew most of his illusions by heart, but some of his tricks made no sense. Valeria had a theory that he could do real magic, and wanted to prove it, while Camila insisted that couldn't be possible. The two girls meandered around his storage room for a bit, checking out the props, until Valeria pointed out a collection of beakers and vials. "See, magic potions!" she said with a laugh, as if not even believing her own theory.

Camila, dressed in a white lace one-piece outfit with a plunging neckline, as well as dark stockings and white go-go boots, shook her head dismissively. "Whatever, just more props," she chuckled to herself, picking up a fake-looking wand before tossing it aside.

Valeria studied the labels on the colorful glasswork, running a hand through her long black hair. She wore a skimpy two-piece gold outfit over fishnets and thigh boots--the magician always dressed them in body-hugging attire to better distract the audience (and, most likely, he was into hot Latinas, though neither had tested out that theory yet). "This one says it's a shrinking formula," said the gold-clad brunette. "What do you think of that?"

Camila just laughed. "You should try it, chica," she snickered. "Shrinking potions! What a laugh! Could he be any more stereotypical? Might as well hang up a sign advertising a mad scientist's lab while he's at it."

"Whatever," chuckled Valeria. "Here, watch me, I'm gonna shrink myself!" Laughing, she popped the stopper and took a swig of the colorful liquid, shaking her head at her own silliness. She put the potion back and started looking around some more.

Camila shrugged and turned aside, noticing a quintet of gold candlesticks around a traced red circle on the table nearby. She leaned in to examine the display closely, marveling at the work done on the glyphs there. "Check this out," she said, waving a hand in her friend's direction. "This is pretty cool."

She didn't get a response, and turned around curiously. "Val?" she said, glancing from side to side. "Where'd you go?"

A tiny voice piped up from by her feet. "Down here!" the faint sound yelled. "Down here! Look, I really shrank!"

Camila glanced down to spy a tiny figure waving and jumping down below. She almost fell over at the sight of her friend reduced in size to no more than a few inches tall. In something of a daze, she bent down and put her hands out, whereupon Valeria jumped inside and steadied herself. "Dios mio," gasped the taller of the pair. "That stuff really worked! You--you're so tiny!"

Valeria nodded, bouncing up and down excitedly. "Yeah, see, I told you, it's real magic! Look how small I am! This is amazing!"

"Yeah, that's awesome!" laughed Camila. "You look like a tiny doll! You're absolutely adorable! Come on, let's get out of here!"

"Umm," said Val worriedly, running a hand through her hair, "can't we look around for the antidote first...?"

"Maybe later," chuckled her friend as she headed for the exit. "Besides, it'll probably wear off on its own eventually. Until then, though, we're going to have SO much fun...!"
