Quite literally, it's beyond a Jojo reference.
This was my end for an art trade. An art trade that I should've finished back in early 2016, and contact with the artist being paused around the end of that year. Why this happened, it is entirely on me. Because of personal reasons I can't say now, because priorities kept coming up like last year's graduation and death of family pets (yes, plural. I'll explain later this week, hold me to that.), because I didn't know what to do with their idea (which involved a lot of paper being scrapped because the ideas were idiotic), and because I thought I would get to it later when later never really came. I hold myself accountable for this, and I apologize again to the other artist for making them wait so long. I plan to rectify that mistake and finish my end and put in as much effort as I can afford. Hopefully the time shows, with around 3-4 hours on drawing the sketch to around 7-8 hours working on the finalized result. Honestly, I think this is my favorite work so far.
Their request was to draw Enrico Pucci from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and to portray him flashy if memory serves. Like I said, I did not know what to do with him. He's a vampire (I think) who takes souls from people with CDs, with a ghost "Stand" called Whitesnake (And apparently he also has two other ones called C-Moon and Made in Heaven). I know nothing about JoJo, it never really caught interest. Still, I liked Whitesnake so I thought a duo piece with Enrico and Barstowite as Whitesnake would be interesting. Only yesterday did I put the idea to paper because I still didn't know how to make it interesting, so the idea came to make it like their sort of buddies (but not really). Barstowite the energetic one, and Enrico the sassier one. Which explains Enrico's "Excuse me?" look. I finally managed to figure it out, put it to paper, and work on it. The background being pink is because I noticed some JoJo artwork involved pink, including the "JoJo's" part of the title logo. Pattern, quite literally was autopilot.
Hopefully this will suffice for the art trade, and I apologize once again for keeping you waiting. And go check out their work, they have amazing talent.
