Thanks, im glad you like it... More or less it was just an experiment with the whole light painting technique, but i thought it looked a little science fiction line, hence the title

The way the light makes an orb or ball certainly gives it an 'out of this world' feel and your sky hasn't gone totally purple which is good too. How many exposures did this take (I assume there's a few blended?).

I suppose you could say it was 2... the light painting and the background is all the one photo, with a little dodging on the white to bring it out a bit... and then the other was to make the silhouette
