Description Couldn't get a proper camera or scanner so this is my camera phone, looks tilted and distorted a bit at the edges. Sorry!

Self-deemed 60% done. Almost able to be handed up to my 2D prof (barring the glass and suggestive cloth lines), but I'll rework some of it to *try* to make a coherent light source present. (The paper needs work, I know that too. ) This goes in my GPA so I gotta be carefull ROFL.

Still, as my FIRST watercolor painting EVER, I am darn proud of it. I have not painted more than 5 traditional pieces in total I think (this should be the 4th or 5th).

This was first and foremost study on materials and texture (and how to represent them in 2D space by luminance variation). Properties of materials are defined by roughness (lightness transitions), specularity, self-shadowing (with regards to object shape) and such. Accurate color is not a necessity as tonal shifts seem to convey more information with more conviction too.

5 colors. Ti-White (Acrylic), Burnt Sienna, Raw Umber, Ivory Black, Payne's Grey (Watercolor).
