Description Discovery: A ticket to who you really are.

Here's a few point I'd have to make:

1. It's gorgeous. I myself was pleasantly shocked at how it turned out- totally different from initial concept. (Keep in mind that this was like the toughest model to actually produce, render and composite. I used dirty tricks everywhere!)
2. It's a ticket. Not a Polaroid. Refer to above.
3. This is the last stuff I'm submitting today. Hopefully I can complete another one in progress, but no need to cross fingers here.
4. There's a Wallpaper version. stay tuned.

O...kay, let's get to the TRUE points here:
Why can't artists be themselves?
Why do they always have to be fucking pretenious and try to look cool with pop styles and petty political one-liner messages?
When did techniques and style become much more important than substance and detail?
Why are cookie-cutter stuff faved to the power of infinity when the artist already did one, TWO years ago without much improvements?
Why do they need to add meaning to some doodle they did in Cinema 4D and turned out pretty to boost their "Intelligence"?
Why does the majority need to have that urge to do the SAME thing others did, or blindly follow tutorials? Just because they got a DD and thousands of faves, and they're in a prestegious group?

I could do grafitti, or displace women and put on a kewl shortform, I could even draw idiotic fanart and get more faves! Why am I not doing it?

I strive to do my best NOT JUST in execution and technicalities, but also to be different and creative too. I hate genre-classifications of artists because having the freedom to not be bound by a certain expectation is just awesome. Art is more than just looking cool or making a statement that nobody really cares (it's repeated for like 20000 times and sounds like propaganda. Really.)

-----
Discovery is all about harmony and exploration of self and the wide world. As you can see, it's not so much about detail and harsh contrast or continuous brushing and "bling", but more focused on flow and interaction.

(DISCLAIMER: I am not being a high horse. If you feel offended, keep in mind that your art offended me.

Cinema 4D was responsible for the 3D line model. No big tricks, it's the real polygon model that you see there.

It was, but then the fucking long shader network (FR Stage 2) was slow and agonizing.

Doing it after I get a better PC.

^ agreed with him. with millions of people into art and then with about a few billion or even trillion people in art doing it, you can't really do anything original as everytime u'll try, ur work will unconciously have something in it that was inspired by something else...o.O originality is an illusion lol.

to the art oooh sparkly XD. the only thing here i dont get is the form...o.O i cant really grasp the ticket part.

I think what you're going to find, if you haven't already is that it's almost damn near impossible to do something completely original.

Artists draw inspiration from other's work. In that, there's always going to be similarities and even copying.

Sure, sure, there's always going to be originality, but at the same time, there's always going to be something similar.

The way I see it is; as long as you're doing what you enjoy, and like what your end results are, original or not. If your motives for doing what you "enjoy" are not to garner cookie cutter favs and praise, you're doing fine.

For example. With this piece here. I know it's a completely original piece that you created, but it really is just another abstract 3D piece to me. Is it nice? Sure. Is it completely groundbreakingly original? I don't think so. Does it matter? It's up to you.

Just my worthless two cents
