A new Undertale OC? WITH ACTUAL BACKGROUND AND UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS??? WAAAT?

But omg I am super excited to tell you about this guy. Okay. Here, we have a Lapidary, a literal shadowy monster. He's, well, a Lapidary, a gem cutter, and on the surface it was his trade. In the Underground however, it's become more a hobby than anything. But don't let his innocent seeming love of shiny gems and crystals fool you, this monster is selfish and gets a sick kick in seeing other's panic in desperation.

His 'thing', besides the obvious gem collecting and cutting, is that he's quite fond of binding Destinies, and this, folks, is what makes him a very dangerous monster, and everyone whose been stuck in the Underground with him knows it. If you manage to track him down, it's usually because you have a vendetta you cannot complete without aid. But. If you are willing to make sacrifices, Lapidary will be EAGER to help. Lapidary will give you the strung jewel hanging from under his hat, and explain that if you take it, it will bind your soul to the next person who falls at your hand. Or, whoever strikes you down. He fails to mention however, how this basically also binds your souls to his jewel, and in extension him, and when you and foe fall, your two souls crystalize. See all those glowing white gems? Yep. He adds two to his collection.

The other gems are as follows. The light blue ones stringing around his hat are cut from the gems hanging over Waterfall. The purple are part of the Delta Rune engraving. And. Well, I'm sure you can figure out the large dark blue gem, can't you? Heh heh heh. And, yes, the tear shaped casings ARE empty for a reason.

Other little less noticeable quirks is that, well, he floats, can travel through shadows, and he likes tea. Quite a bit; Lapidary will actually visit the King for a cup now and then. Hopefully I'll have enough time and inspiration to draw some comics of Lapidary's interacts and deals and history and things like that, so I can get more of his backstory out more clearly ^_^ (but fuck this guy's design killed my wrist DX)
