Description
In one of my previous Dune AU related drawings, I cast Li Shan as Stilgar, the leader of the Fremen. I decided it would be a good idea to draw a scene between him and some of the main characters of the story for this drawing.

Shortly after moving in to Arrakeen on the desert planet, Arrakis, Barley tells Wilden that the Fremen's leader wants an audience with him to discuss terms between their two factions. After Duke Wilden greets Li Shan and his son Po (who accompanies him as his father's consort) he spits on the table that rests between them. Barley reassures them that this is a greeting gift, and encourages Ian and Wilden to do the same and spit on the table as well

"Thank you, Li Shan, for the gift of your body's moisture. We accept it in the spirit in which it was given"
