I know this isn't art. But I wanted to do one of those favorite character memes for a while now. Since this is alphabetized that means I can't have two or more characters with the same first letter (for example Batman and Bilbo). And that also means that there were some characters that I normally would have put into this, but I couldn't. I also, sort of, cheated a bit. Heh heh.List of characters:

lol no picture for the unman. he or it is ugly anyway. I loved those books, though it did take a while for That Hideous Strength to click in (after all, Ransom didn't appear til like halfway through)

I actually wasn't much of a fan of That Hideous Strength. I didn't much care for the drastic change in Ransom's character.

Yeah it was a bit of a departure from the last two. I loved the 2nd one though, especially with ransom's righteous vs wicked battle with the unman on guiding the woman (and ultimately preventing what happened with Eve on earth)

Anyway, these are your favorite characters and I am not going to quibble if you like characters from those godawful prequels (which no STAR WARS purist would ever acknowledge)---but which actor made the character famous to begin with? And which actor is clearly superior?

Truth be told, I've watched the original trilogy more oft than the newer trilogy.
I have a feeling that if I were to watch it (the newer trilogy) again (like right now), I probably wouldn't like it as much now as I did in the past.
To me it's one of those series of movies that has good parts and mediocre parts, but the mediocre parts don't completely ruin the enjoyment of watching the films.
I think my favorite of them was Episode II: Attack of the Clones, followed by Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

About Qui Gon Jinn... I couldn't think of any other character with a name starting with "Q." If I made a list of my top ten favorite Star Wars characters, he sadly (for him that is...) wouldn't be in it.

There is no such thing as canon in fiction; that is a fiction in itself--it has its origins in those pompous bores who founded the original fanboy club of Sherlock Holmes admirers who took it upon themselves to try and make all of Conan Doyle's stories fit together as if Holmes and Watson were real! Doyle himself didn't give a crap about continuity--no storyteller of any merit should limit his/her creativity by so doing. He didn't give a toss whether Dr. Watson's war wound was in his shoulder or leg or both or neither, or how many times he was married--but oh my goodness, Sarah, don't get me started! 
And I DO like your inclusion of Alec beside Ewan; the resemblance is uncanny and I am glad that the prequel films at least picked the right actor to play the role.
