A Samurai in the Making:
Takeshi was born into the Hiromasa clan, an upper-class family from a made-up village in Japan, who grew up with one dream since he was a boy: becoming a Samurai! His parents admired that he'd want to follow such a path (even if he didn't fully understand at the time), so they used their connections to get everything in order; trainers, technological innovators, armor designers, the whole package. Since he was 7, he has had extensive training in various forms of both hand-to-hand & armed combat, granting him a formidable range of fighting skills.
Since the modern world has access to more lethal weapons than in previous centuries, the Hiromasa's thought they'd go the extra mile & invest in some experimental technology to make him more formidable. One such investment is your standard bulletproof armor, except modeled to more resemble Samurai armor, along with some energy resistance to coencide with the next big investment.The scientists that were recruited have been working on a special project, a device that can emit light and concentrate it in such a way that it becomes solid. This technology was designed to create artificial pathways to prevent the need for cutting down trees, but had some prototypes available for modifification per the family's requests. With a remote control staff and some motion sensors built into the suit, they were able to create a high-tech weapon fit for a Samurai. It was presented to Takesi on his 11th birthday, a weapon that harnesses light to slice all in its path, the Sessaku-tō.
By the time Takeshi turned 18, he has completed his training and has taken note of all the applications his weapon can do. He started to hear stories about a trickster who is said to defend another made-up village nearby. So, with steely determination, he sets off to see if this 'Crimson Fox' could be his ally.
