The world has been ravaged. The heroes are dead. A small band rise from the ashes to fight back against the darkness. Fay Ripley, a military colonel who watched her family killed by the jackbooted terror squads of a nightmare future, found scraps in the wreckage. She found an arm of the hero once known as the Guardian. She picked it up and put it on. She had work to do. Loralia has been many things: kid sidekick to superhero. Now she is nothing more than a soldier. A warrior. The last Hy-Brasilian. She is Aquarian. Nobody knows who the energetic size-shifting hero Proton is. Or how he finds so much to joke and jape about in a world gone made. Drake Richards was Kid Shroud. Now he is an adult. He’s lost the ‘Kid’ and lost his voice. In a cutting egde suit of armour with hardlight weaponry, he is a deadly assassin. He is Shroud. Brent Michaels has superpowers. He doesn’t know why. He just does. He can run super fast and project heat. He is the new Heatwave in a world already burning. Robert White hasn’t fed on blood for decades. And it’s taken it’s toll. Instead he took up the cloth and wears a cross around his neck to remind himself of the pain he could inflict if he ever lost control. He hasn’t so far. He is no longer the White Baron. Now he is simply The Padre. The Earth has been ravaged. It needed a new guardian. The Golem was reformed. As something more. Intelligent and insightful, she wishes to understand humans more, to work with them and, wielding the sword of the Green Knight, she wishes to perhaps deliver the planet they all call home from the darkness that clouds it.
